Privacy policy

EmissionsTesting.net is a reference site you can use without telling us who you are. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no comments. The site currently runs no advertising and no analytics. This page explains the little that is collected, and why.

What we collect

• Nothing you type into the site. Searching and filtering stations happens in your browser; no form sends personal details to us.
• Email you send us. If you write to contact@emissionstesting.net, we keep your message and address to reply and to act on it, such as a correction. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your address.
• Hosting logs. The site is hosted by Vercel, which records standard request data (such as IP address, browser type, page requested and time) to deliver and secure the site. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Your location stays on your device

The New York station finder can sort stations by distance. If you press “Near me”, your browser asks for permission first, and the position is used only inside the page to sort the list. It is never sent to us, never stored by us and never put in a page address.

Cookies, advertising and analytics

The site sets no cookies and loads no advertising or analytics scripts. If that changes, this page will be updated first and will name the services used.

Links to other sites

Pages link to state agencies and to the New York open data portal. When you follow a link, the other site's privacy policy applies.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
