EmissionsTesting.net answers two questions: does my vehicle need an emissions test here, and what do the public records say about the stations that do the testing?

State rules, in the agency's words

Each state page summarizes where testing applies, which vehicles, how often, what it costs and who is exempt. Next to every summary we quote the state agency's own sentence, link to it and show the day we checked it. If we cannot quote an official source for a rule, the rule is not on the page.

New York, station by station

New York publishes every vehicle inspection as open data. We add the records up per licensed station: inspections per month and year, how often the initial emissions test failed, the share of OBDII tests, waivers and the makes seen most. The busiest stations have their own pages; every station appears on its county page and in the finder.

Who we are

An independent publisher. We are not a government agency, not an inspection station and not paid by any station. There are no ads on the site today. Write to contact@emissionstesting.net.
