Missouri emissions testing rules
Missouri tests emissions only in the St. Louis area: St. Louis City and Jefferson, St. Charles and St. Louis counties. 1996 and newer gasoline vehicles and 1997 and newer diesels of 8,500 pounds GVWR or less test every two years with the safety inspection, at licensed shops charging no more than $24.
Where testing is required
The program covers vehicles registered in the city of St. Louis and Jefferson, St. Charles and St. Louis counties.
